AMULAC SUPPORTS A STRONG LIBERAL ARTS EDUCATION



Freshmen Students in Dr. Kenia Halleck´s class presented an outstanding series of symposiums the most important cultural movements inn Latin America from the beginning of the 20th century until today. Within an interdisciplinary framework-- linking economic, political and cultural theories—students discussed crucial topics such as modernization, gender and indigenous movements, among others.  Congratulations to all students!

Sport Teams received new equipment!

Provost Anderson met with the AMULAC Athletes and listened to their concerns. He immediately worked on the solutions. The Sport Teams received new equipment in response to their concerns.  GO KNIGHTS!

Closer to the students: Provost meeting with Student Leadership!

The Provost met with the student leaders of the Households and Clubs in order to get to know the concerns of each group. The Provost promised to work towards the needs of each group. He also thanked all the representations for their valuable work for Ave Maria.




Closer to the students: Provost Anderson meets with the Athletes!

Provost Anderson called for a meeting with all the Athletes in order to know their needs and ideas. Many issues were pointed out and the Provost solved them on the spot. At the end of the meeting all of those present in the event yelled: GO KNIGHTS!




Study Abroad Fair @ Campus!

The Study Abroad fair took place at the Pellas Room at AMULAC. Students learned about opportunities and options to study abroad!



Conference: Education in Latin America: Challenges and Opportunities!

Dr. Diana Kruger visited our campus and directed the conference: Education in Latin America: Challenges and Opportunities! The Cultural Center was packed and both students and staff learned about the situation in Latin America regarding educational subjects.

Successful Art Therapy Workshop!



The Psychology Club and the San Marcos Mental Health Project organized and implemented the Workshop called "Terapia del Arte" or "Art Therapy", at the Pellas Room, Wednesday March 20th, from 2 to 5 pm.  The presenter, Felicia Sandino, B.A. in Art Therapy, explained how everyone is creative and how to use art therapy to communicate and relax.  The fifty participants from various schools and universities, learned to use ink in special papers, to design and interpret their own art work, during the last part of the workshop. The participants expressed the need to bring this type of workshops to their own schools and universities, in order to apply what was learned with their students.
