Ave Maria International Language Institute students from the
Academic English Program went to Managua on Thursday, October 11, to visit the
Asociación Pro Niños Quemados de Nicarauga (APROQUEN). They took toys and
snacks to share with patients and their families, toured the clinics, guest
house, APROQUEN offices, and warehouse, and learned more about the history of
the organization and its founder, Vivian Pellas. Students will be working in
the future to help collect 1,000 toys for APROQUEN’s annual Caravana de
Navidad.
