Psychology program students participated in UCA’s Scientific Conference "Jornada Científica"

Psychology program students participated in UCA’s Scientific Conference "Jornada Científica" this past Wednesday November 5^th, 2013. Students heard speakers in the different workshops, which had themes such as neuroscience, psychoeducation, involvement with community projects, biodance or communication through corporal movement and play therapy. The objective was to hear the challenges of the science of psychology in Nicaragua.  Some of the challenges that were mentioned were to bring about union among the professionals, to encourage research, to promote work in the communities of the country, to have passion for the study of psychology and to share concepts about mental health. Students met with the psychology program coordinators at UCA and with other psychology students.
